Helly glasses are designed for the needs of custom or chopper driver. All Bikereyes have shatter-proof lenses*, double side anti-fog coating and UV 400 filters for max. UV protection. Our high-quality lenses offer you a perfect view! Beside our in-house standard they fulfil also the CE (89/686), GERMAN INSTITUTE FOR STANDARDIZATION (EN 1836 European Economic Community) and the ANSI (Z87.1) norm. *Lab test, which simulates falling stones with a velocity more than 200kmh (125 mph).
Temperature variation can cause lenses to fog up. To prevent this, we have equipped all lenses with an anti-fog coating on both sides, ensuring clear vision. For technical reasons we have attached the anti-fog coating only on the inside of mirroed lenses.
Bikereyes comply to the highest safety standards! Helly No.1 Bikereyes even pass a "shooting test"! All Bikereyes are equipped with "high quality" lenses. For your eyes, this means: optimum protection, not only from stone-chipping!
All Bikereyes are equipped with "high quality" lenses, incl. UV 400 protective filters. The UV filter does not depend on lens color. The invisible ultraviolet UVA and UVB rays which damage the human eye - between 280 and 400 nanometers - are completely filtered. Therefore our lenses guarantee 100% UV protection (UV 400).
All Helly No.1 Bikereyes comply to CE guideline CE 89/686 EEC or the German DIN standard EN 1836 as well as the American ANSI standard.

(Lens category 4 - light transmission 3-8%) An extremely dark lense designed for the "lifestyle" area. This lense tint is not approved for road traffic. Naturally, any damaging UV rays (UV-A and UV-B) are completely filtered out in our super dark lenses.
(Lens category 3 - light transmission 8-18%) A dark lense specially developed for strong to average sunlight. This lense tint has the UV400 protection filter, so that damaging UV rays (UV-A and UV-B) are completely filtered out.

(Lens category 1 - light transmission 43-80%) This color covers the average range and is best suited for cloud cover or similar light conditions. Here too the damaging UV rays (UV-A and UV-B) are completely filtered out.
(Lens category 1 - light transmission 43-80%) Blue blocker lenses are designed specifically for high-contrast look on the day. This color covers the central region and is best suited when it's cloudy or similar lighting conditions. This lense also filters out damaging UV rays (UV-A and UV-B).
(Lens category 0 - light transmission 80-100%) This special xenolit lenses, filters the blue portion from the light and thus significantly increased contrast vision - especially during rain, fog and even at night. The eyes are protected and do not tire easily, especially during longer rides. The negative glaring effect of spectral light portions, e.g. from car lights (especially Xenon lights) are significantly reduced. This lense also filters out damaging UV rays (UV-A and UV-B).
